Fallout 4, the latest game in the long running open-world post-apocalyptic role-playing game series, has been subject to much critical acclaim despite its buggy nature. While publisher Bethesda has claimed to support the game with patches and updates meant to rectify its launch day issues, it seems that a few regions outside major ones such as the US and UK are being overlooked.

According to a thread on leading games forum NeoGAF, gamers in Asian countries like Taiwan have not got any updates for the game on PS4 since release."I keep checking with my friends here in Taiwan, and none of us have received the day-one update, nor have we gotten the more recent (and apparently essential) 1.02," said forum poster SolidChamp on NeoGAF.

He further elucidated, stating that fans have been trying to get a response from Bethesda but with no luck.

"How in the hell could Bethesda fail to support their game in an entire region? With The Witcher 3 I could always expect the update to be delivered several days behind NA and Europe, but at least we were getting them consistently. I understand that the certification process might be different for different countries/territories, but this is unacceptable," his post continues.

Meanwhile on Reddit, users confirmed that this is nothing out of the ordinary for Bethesda.

"This unfortunately isn't new for Bethesda. Skyrim for PC is on version 1.9.32 in most regions, but is stuck on on 1.9.31 in Japan, Russia, and some other regions," said Reddit extrwi.

So far Asian gamers playing the game on PC have not faced this issue and neither have those on the Xbox One reported any concerns. It appears to impact only those on the PS4. Indian PS4 users are not impacted as updates for India happen as Europe does, ensuring that local gamers are up to date.

Considering how widespread certain Fallout 4 issues are, the glaring lack of support for an entire region on a rather popular platform is appalling. We've got in touch with Bethesda to find out why this is so and will update this post the moment we hear something.Until then though, if you're looking to play Fallout 4 on the PS4 and reside in Asia, your best bet is creating a US PSN account to get your fix.
