Toy story, first feature-length computer-generated movie, released
Toy Story was released in 1996. It was a fully computer-generated movie. This was the first-ever full length film and came out on November 22, 26 years back. The Pixar animation studio's revolutionary movie was directed by John Lasseter.
Woody, Buzz Lightyear and other friends take us on an emotional trip in Toy Story. These toys live out when nobody has eyes for them and enjoy an enchanting tour. For the producers, they created characters using computer-generated imagery, a new dimension.
Classical animation was composed of drawn frames and the cells before Toy story. Unlike CGI, it led to the creation of an empty landscape and this brought about emotional state expression on-screen. This computer generated technique revolutionized animation and created the highest ever animating pinnacle that had never been attained before.
Toy Story propelled a number of people into view, leaving a great gap for the other CI movies in other years. This created an opportunity for other computer-generated blockbusters like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and UP. However, these movies still manage to enthral people of all ages due to their breathtaking scenery and moving storylines.
However, it should be noted that an average cartoon movie is inferior to the influence of Toy Story. Jurassic park opened a world of unlimited potential with regard to CGI in movie making. The advancement in technology has seen the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) become commonplace in making movies, including action and blockbuster films.
When discussing Toy Story's anniversary, one should be reminded about that film which changed animated movies forever.
