Amazon is set to hold a major one-day sale event after Christmas. The 'Digital Day' sale is scheduled for Friday, December 28. The online retail giant is promising up to 80 percent discount on a large selection of digital products such as Kindle books, Marvel comics, games, movies, software, and more. Here is your guide to just what the Amazon Digital Day sale can hold for you. What is Amazon Digital Day?

Amazon Digital Day sale is all about discounts on select digital products. The idea behind such sales is to offer customers discounted content to fill up their new devices, likely to be gifted or bought during Christmas. This year's Digital Day sale will be the third such sale with year-end deals on digital content.

Amazon had held a similar sale in India back in October this year. Even though the sale will be held on Amazon US, you can still participate using your regular Amazon account since almost all of the deals will be on digital products.

What to expect from Amazon Digital Day 2018 sale?

Amazon's Digital Day sale will go live on December 28, but some deals will start to show up from December 26 itself. Amazon is letting customers sign up for notifications when the sale goes live. The online retailer claims there will be thousands of deals across categories including entertainment, books, games, apps, and software.

Some of the deals that Amazon has previewed so far include a 75 percent discount on best-selling Kindle books and up to 80 percent off on popular Marvel graphic novels. Usually, Kindle books are sold at much cheaper rates in India so in case you do come across a good deal on an ebook, make sure you compare prices on Amazon India before making a purchase.

Other deals include Kindle Unlimited subscription worth three months at just $0.99 (around Rs. 70). Audible subscribers will be able to purchases two audiobooks at the price of one from a wide selection. You can expect Amazon to offer discounts and bundled deals on some of its own products such as Echo speakers, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and others.

Amazon will be selling its Fire HD 10 tablet with a $50 (roughly Rs. 3,506) discount, bundled with a three-month trial to Audible. Security software from Norton will be available with up to 50 percent discount and Amazon will also throw in a $10 (roughly Rs. 702) gift card on select software purchases.
