Amazon has announced the launch of three new stores on its marketplace, www.amazon.in, namely its Video Games, Music and Luggage & Bags stores. According to the company, the new stores bring the online retailer's total selection up to 18 product categories, over 900,000 products, more than 10 million books and over two million ebooks.

Speaking at the launch, Amit Agarwal, VP and Country Manager for Amazon India, said: "We are very pleased to offer our customers the largest selection of products in the country in all of the three categories that we launched today. This is a reiteration of our commitment to relentlessly focus on building a place that customers in India can trust to find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online."

"We are also very excited to have been the partner of choice for both Sony DADC and Wildcraft and offer our customers a unique opportunity to be the first to own or gift the popular International catalogues of Warner Music and Wildcraft's Back-To-School collection," he added.

According to Amazon, its dedicated Video Games store has the largest selection in India, consisting of more than 2,600 gaming products across consoles and accessories, and over 2000 game titles.

On the other hand, the dedicated Music store on Amazon.in is claimed to be largest store in India for physical music products, offering more than 400,000 albums from leading national and international labels. The retailer is also touting an intuitive search and browse experience to help find titles across categories.
