  • Flipkart Festive Dhamaka Days Sale kicks off Thursday, October 5
  • Flipkart will offer Dhamaka deals with cashback on Axis Bank cards
  • It will end on Sunday, which is the same day Amazon concludes its sale

Flipkart announced the dates of its next big sale - named Festive Dhamaka Days - just a day ahead of the second Amazon Great Indian Festival sale. Predictably, the Flipkart sale dates will clash with those of Amazon's, though there are not many details about the deals and discounts that the Indian e-commerce startup will be offering. On the other hand, the Amazon sale is in full swing, with discounts on over 10 crore products. However, consumers won't have to wait too long as the Flipkart sale starts at midnight on Thursday, October 5 and runs till Sunday, October 8.

Flipkart says it will offer 'Dhamaka Deals' as part of the Festive Dhamaka Days sale that will offer significant discount on popular products for a limited time. These deals will go live at 1pm and 10pm. As you would expect, the e-commerce platform is promising 'blockbuster deals' on smartphones, with flash sales and extra discounts on exchanging an existing smartphone.

If you are looking to buy a TV or some home appliances, you might be in luck as the Flipkart Festive Dhamaka Days promise "up to 70 percent discount on top brands", exchange offers, and no-cost EMIs. You can also avail up to 60 percent off on laptops, camera, accessories, and more with buyback guarantees on select products. Beyond electronics, Flipkart is touting up to 80 percent off on home and furniture items as well as fashion products.

As always, there's a preferred banking partner, with Axis Bank credit and debit card holders this time getting additional 10 percent cashback on their purchases made during the Flipkart Festive Dhamaka Days.

The ongoing Amazon sale comes with a number of deals on smartphones, laptops, TVs, storage devices, headphones, and other gadgets. Among the notable offers are discounts on the newly-launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus as well as lowered prices of popular Android phones such as OnePlus 3T and Moto G5S Plus. On buying a 55-inch BPL TV, customers will get a 32-inch TV for free, while laptops have discounts of up to Rs. 20,000. Of course, there are no-cost EMIs, cashback offers, exchange discounts, etc. that have now become a staple of every e-commerce sale in the country.
