Dell India is making it more convenient for people to purchase a desktop or a laptop. The computer manufacturer has announced its 'Back to School' programme, wherein it is allowing students (and parents) to take home a new laptop at Re. 1, and pay the remainder under instalments - sans interest - later. The program will end in May.

The IT company on Monday announced the 'Back to School' season, between Tuesday (March 22) and May 31. A range of Dell laptop models are available in the Back to School program. Dell says users can purchase a Dell Inspiron Desktop, an All-in-One model, or a laptop from Inspiron 3000 series (with fourth-generation Core i3 notebook models) at Re. 1.

Furthermore, users interested in Inspire Desktop or All-in-One series who choose to pay an additional sum of Rs. 999 will get a two-year additional Dell Next Business Day Onsite Warranty, one-year Edurite Content Pack, and a shopping voucher from Bata.

Users interested in purchasing a Inspiron 3000 series laptop can also get a two-year Additional Dell Next Business Day Onsite Warranty by paying an additional sum of Rs. 999 at the time of purchase.

"The Back to School offers this season have been devised to make PCs for consumers, especially students and parents, easily accessible and more rewarding than ever, to fuel their desire for learning," Dell wrote in a press statement. "The brand is empowering students as well as their parents to make PCs a tool that can complement an individual's learning curve," it added.

The Back to School offer is valid across the country from authorised Dell outlets or CompuIndia website. Customers are required to register their laptop with Dell on Back to School Offer within the first seven days of the purchase date.
