HP, ahead of CES 2015, has introduced a range of monitors including curved displays, 4K resolution displays, 3D monitors and more.

Notably, the company's newly announced virtual reality (VR) monitor is actually a stereoscopic display that requires a pair of 3D glasses. The Zvr Virtual Reality Display by HP sports a 23.6-inch full-HD display. Users, wearing the 3D glasses and using a dedicated stylus, can rotate, move and perform other functions on onscreen objects. The user's head and eye motions are also detected by the four cameras fixed on top of the screen.

The monitor will start shipping in the American Spring this year, and is specially made for schools, design studios and experimental labs. The price of the HP Zvr Virtual Reality Display is not yet known.

Moving on to the curved displays, HP also introduced two curved monitors - 27-inch and 34-inch. The 34-inch model, the HP Envy 34c, features a 3440x1440 pixel resolution (3K) with a 21:9 aspect ratio, eliminating the need to use dual monitors to certain extent. The monitor also houses a dual HDMI ports along with a DisplayPort. Also, one of the HDMI connections can also perform as a MHL port for playing media content from a mobile device.

While the Envy 34c will be available in April this year starting $999 (roughly Rs. 63,300), the Pavilion 27c is already available in markets at $399 (roughly Rs. 25,300).

Expanding its line of 4K displays, HP at the event also announced two new 4K panels - 27-inch and 23.8-inch. While the 27-inch mode, the HP Z27s, is priced at $749 (roughly Rs. 47,400), the 23.8-inch model, the HP Z24s, is priced at $549 (roughly Rs. 34,700). The Z27s will be hitting shelves this month, while the Z24s will arrive in April this year. Both the monitors house a 3840x2160 pixel resolution (4K) with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1.07 billion colours.
