Lenovo on Monday launched two new Chromebooks, N20 and N20p, just one day ahead of the Google and Intel's event at San Francisco scheduled for May 6. While the Lenovo N20 will be available starting June and will be priced at $279 (roughly Rs. 16,700), the N20p would arrive one month later and with a price tag of $349 (roughly Rs. 20,900).

The Lenovo N20 and N20p Chromebook are the company's first consumer facing Chromebooks, with its previous offerings meant for the education market. The two laptops carry the same internal specifications with some differences when it comes to the device's screen. Both laptops sport 11.6-inch, 1366x768pixel resolution however, the N20p has a 10-point multi-touch screen and also comes with a convertible design and hinge where the display rotates up to 300 degrees.

Last month, Acer at its 'a touch more connected event' in New York, announced a new Chromebook. The company also says this is the first Chromebook to run on an Intel Core processor, shipping with a 4th generation Core i3 processor. No details about the new Chrome OS-based laptop have been disclosed, except for the fact that it will ship in 14-inch and 15-inch models, with a tentative release date of this summer.

Samsung too announced its Chromebook 2 series in March, which includes two models in 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch configurations, and were said to hit the shelves in April. Both the Chromebook 2 series laptops are powered by Samsung's own Exynos 5 Octa processor.
