The Indian telecom provider started the production of Android-based smartphones to create products for its 3G data plans. Idea is one of India's largest telecom operators that offers voice and data services across the country. The company has partnered with companies such as Microsoft to offer carrier billing on purchase of apps. Idea's latest mobile launch is the Galaxy A57 5G. The mobile was launched in 25th March 2026. The phone comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2340 pixels by 1080 pixels.

It comes with 8GB, 12GB of RAM. The phone packs 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a . As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G packs a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) + 12-megapixel (f/2.2) + 5-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) front shooter for selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G runs Android 16 and is powered by a 5000mAh non removable battery. It measures 161.50 x 76.80 x 6.90 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 179.00 grams.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB Type-C. Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
