Samsung, after launching its Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 handsets in China last month, might soon introduce the successor to its Galaxy Grand 2, the Galaxy Grand 3, if GFXBenchmark results for an SM-G7200 smartphone are any indication.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 appears to be a clear upgrade over the Galaxy Grand 2, especially with regards to the camera. The handset as listed on GFXBenchmark results as the SM-G7200 (first spotted by Gizmobic), and features a 12-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 4.7-megapixel front-facing camera. Both are capable of recording full-HD videos.

Other features of the Galaxy Grand 3 listed for the rear camera are face detection, touch focus, and flash. However, the HDR mode is conspicuously absent. The Galaxy Grand 2 notably had 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other specifications listed on the benchmark listing for the Galaxy Grand 3 include the same HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution but a larger 5.5-inch screen, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU (ARMv7) clocked at 1.2GHz (and comes in 64-bit or 32-bit variants), an Adreno 306 GPU, OpenGL ES 3.0 support, 1.5GB of RAM, and 12GB (possibly out of 16GB total) of inbuilt storage.

Notably, Samsung made its Galaxy Grand 2 available in India for a price tag of Rs. 22,999 in January. The firm is also yet to launch its metal-clad Galaxy A7 handset, which has been rumoured from quite some time now.

The Galaxy A7 smartphone, based on recent leaks and rumours feature 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution screen, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (ARMv7) processor clocked at 1.5Ghz, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 405 GPU, OpenGL ES 3.0, 16GB inbuilt storage, a 12-megapixel autofocus rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Also, the Galaxy A7 is likely to be priced between $450 and $500 (roughly Rs. 24,500-30,500) and will launch in limited countries.
