Five months after its release to Nexus devices, Google's latest mobile operating system version - Android 6.0 Marshmallow - has finally surpassed the 1 percent adoption mark on active devices visiting Google Play. The search giant has updated its Google Play distribution data for the seven-day period ending February 1.

According to Google's latest Android distribution chart, Android 6.0 Marshmallow now runs on 1.2 percent active Android devices. This is a 0.5 percent increase from the company's January figure of 0.7 percent.
