HTC One (M8) Reportedly Receiving Firmware Update With Stability Fixes

Users are reporting that HTC's much-talked-about latest flagship smartphone, the One (M8), is receiving a firmware update with multiple stability fixes.

GSMArena in a report claims that it has been tipped about the firmware update by a HTC One (M8) user in UAE. The report suggests that the firmware update for HTC One (M8) is 70MB in size and is available OTA (over-the-air).

The reported firmware update for the HTC One (M8) brings improvements to system radio stability, camera app stability; video highlight stability, and FM radio app stability, apart froma weather app barometer update, according to the changelog published in the report.

As of now, there is no official word from the Taiwanese giant about the firmware update for HTC One (M8). However, we expect that the update for One (M8) if first released in UAE will be gradually rolled out to other regions and mobile carriers.

The new flagship from HTC reached the Indian market in late-April and was priced at Rs. 49,900. Notably, the new flagship from HTC is also available on popular e-commerce website, Flipkart at a discounted price of Rs. 44,870.

The One (M8) runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the company's brand new Sense 6 UI on top, which HTC is calling the biggest upgrade since Sense debuted. The phone is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, alongside 2GB of RAM.

The HTC One (M8) comes with a 5-inch full-HD display and will be available in 16GB and 32GB storage options, with support for expandable storage via microSD cards of up to 128GB capacity.

The HTC One (M8) comes with a body that's '90 percent metal' and exudes the same premium feel as its predecessor.

The highlight of the HTC One (M8) is the dual camera setup that puts a 4-UltraPixel camera alongside a depth sensing camera. A 5-megapixel front camera is included as well. The phone packs a 2600mAh battery and supports Nano-SIM.
