As we move closer to the expected release date of Apple's new iPhone(s), more leaked photos of the purported phones are surfacing online.

What's interesting is that the photos feature the much talked about Gold coloured iPhone 5S, which had made its first appearance a few days back, albeit without any prominent Apple branding.

A Japanese website, Weekly.ascii.jp has posted multiple images of the purported Gold iPhone 5S alongside the iPhone 5.

This time, however, the Gold coloured iPhone bears the Apple logo and iPhone branding but misses the top and bottom glass strip as well as Volume rocker and Mute keys. The iPhone 5S similar dimensions as the iPhone 5, though the font of the 'iPhone' branding appears to be thinner.

The Gold colour is more close to champagne and doesn't look gaudy, at least judging by the leaked pictures.

New evidence pertaining to the presence of a 128GB iPhone 5S has also surfaced. Two purported images of the iPhone 5S box have appeared on a Chinese website revealing a 128GB storage model. It also lists the phone's network connectivity options including CDMA EV-DO Rev A and Rev B, DC-HSDPA( 850/900/1900/2100 MHz), GSM and LTE (Bands 1/3/5/13/25).

The maximum storage capacity available with the iPhone 5 was 64GB. So with the iPhone 5S, Apple's doubling it up.

Earlier, Apple Insider had quoted the usually reliable KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo to report that Apple was planning to introduce a 128GB storage variant of the next-generation iPhone, in line with company's move to introduce a 128GB fourth-generation iPad, earlier this year.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 5S along with the iPhone 5C, the cheaper version of the iPhone, on September 10 at an event in San Francisco. It's worth pointing out that Apple has not sent any invitations or announced an event officially, yet, though it typically sends out official invitations only a week before the actual event.
