Korean smartphone maker LG has finally managed to launch the White colour version of its Google Nexus 4 smartphone. On the side lines of this launch the company also mentioned that it has no plans to develop the next version of the Nexus smartphone.

This information is based on a new report by the Dutch site All About Phones. The website has carried an interview with Kim Wong, Head of LG Europe, who says, "There are currently no plans for a Nexus 5 made by us. We don't need that kind of marketing exposure anymore. The Nexus 4 was a great success, even with the supply issues and we have a great relationship with Google. But we won't make the Nexus 5."

This statement is contrary to the news reports that suggested that LG is currently working on the next iteration of the Nexus smartphone.

At this event, Wong also shared that the company will not be launching any smartphone that comes with a flexible screen in 2013. He mentioned that this technology is not yet mature and that we will have to wait a bit longer to have a smartphone with a flexible display.
