Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures has announced that the Yu Yureka smartphone will available to buy without any registrations in India on Wednesday and Thursday. As before, the Yureka smartphone will be available to buy from the company's exclusive online retail partner, Amazon India.

The company made the announcement on its Facebook and Twitter handles, and said, "No registrations, no time limits. Yureka open sale on 6th and 7th May. Are you ready to Play God?" The Amazon India page however notes the sale begins at 10am on Wednesday.

It's also worth noting that this is the first open sale for Micromax's Yu Yureka and can be seen as an attempt to clear out stocks of the smartphone ahead of the Yu Yuphoria smartphone launch.

The open sale announcement for the Yu Yureka came a day after the company last week announced the launch of Yu Yuphoria smartphone on May 12.

An open sale for the Yureka smartphone means that consumers will not be required to register to purchase the handset during the sale. The company, at the time of writing, had not revealed the number of units that will be up for sale on Wednesday and Thursday.

In April, Yu Televentures started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 (CM12S) update for the Yureka smartphone. Priced at Rs. 8,999, Micromax's Yu Yureka offers some rather impressive specifications at the price. The dual-SIM smartphone features Cat. 4 4G LTE connectivity, and runs Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. It bears a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3; a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939); an Adreno 405 GPU; 2GB of RAM; a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor CMOS sensor rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and flash; a front-facing 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera; 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB), and a 2500mAh Li-Po battery.
