One of Nokia's camera experts, Ari Partinen, has confirmed on Twitter that he is leaving the Finnish company to join Apple.

Partinen wrote on Twitter, "Today will be my last day working for the amazing #Lumia family. In June I will start a new chapter in Cupertino, California. Much love!"

Notably, Ari Partinen's LinkedIn profile currently gives his designation as, "Lumia Photography Lead at Nokia." However, we can expect a change in the month of June. Further, Partinen revealed his excitement about joining the Cupertino-based company in another tweet, saying, "Thank you for great discussions and feedback! (And it is the company you are thinking assuming you are thinking Apple)." Unfortunately, Partinen has not revealed his new role in Apple, as of now.

Partinen's role at Nokia is defined as "Working in the fields of mobile photography, image quality verification, verification up-streaming, 3rd party management and collaboration, supplier collaboration and technical marketing in various multimedia segments," according to Tech Crunch.

Partinen, notably, was a part of team which worked on the Nokia PureView 808 and Lumia 1020 that packed in a massive 41-megapixel rear camera.

Nokia completed its 5.44 billion-euro sale of its mobile business to Microsoft at the end of April. The Finnish company had revealed that it would now focus on networks, mapping services and technology development and licenses.
