Both the phones were reported last week to have passed the US FCC certification website suggesting several details about innards. One of the features however missing was the battery capacity. Now, the Galaxy S7 Edge's FCC document containing a screenshot of the handset's battery details apart from FCC certification ID and battery capacity has surfaced on the Internet.
According to the leaked screenshot (seen above), first picked up by 9to5Google, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will pack a huge 3600mAh battery. If this comes out to be true, the Galaxy S7 Edge will feature larger battery capacity than the Samsung's Galaxy Note 5, which packs a 3000mAh battery and even the Nexus 6P that includes a 3450mAh battery.
Based on preliminary leaked details, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will feature a 5.5-inch display and will have a SM-G935A model number while the smaller 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 will come with SM-G930A model number. The last letter of the model numbers are said to be different based on different carriers and regions. Additionally, the US-based smartphones are expected to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, while variants in other regions will run Samsung's Exynos 8890 processor. Both the handsets are said to sport QHD (1440x2560 pixels) screen resolution. All the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge variants are said to pack 4GB of RAM and are expected to come in 32GB and 64GB storage options.
The South Korean company had recently confirmed the existence of its upcoming Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone by listing it on its developer website for a short while. The smartphone was seen listed in a table that showed the ways the smartphone's curved screen could be used.
