Samsung is all set to unveil its latest innovations in flagship smartphone technology at the Galaxy Unpacked event on Sunday. Features, specifications, and design of the upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ aren't going to be much of a surprise considering they borrow a whole lot from the previous-gen Galaxy S8 range. However, the Galaxy S9 pricing has been the talk of the town, this time around, as several reports reveal different strategies. A new leak has surfaced online that reaffirms the suspicion that Samsung is looking to introduce a steep price hike with the Galaxy S9 series.

A photo posted by user raulote on Imgur, first spotted on Reddit, claims to be show a leaflet from a local bank in Spain. The interesting part about this leaflet is that it allegedly reveals the prices of Galaxy S9 - EUR 849 (roughly Rs. 67,700) - and the Galaxy S9+ - EUR 1,000 (roughly Rs. 79,800). Interestingly enough, this leak is in accordance with the pricing that tipster Evan Blass had predicted this week. Blass had stated that the Galaxy S9 would carry a price tag of EUR 841 (roughly Rs. 67,100) and the Galaxy S9+ would be priced at EUR 997 (roughly Rs. 79,500) in unnamed European markets. While the prices do not exactly match, the difference could be due to the fact that retail prices of goods vary from country to country in Europe.

Apart from the pricing details, availability of the two upcoming phones has been under speculation in the weeks following up to the launch. Some reports claim we will see pre-orders going live right after the launch event (February 25), while others state that telecom operators in South Korea will wait till February 28 to allow users splurge their money on the latest from Samsung's bandwagon. We can expect the Galaxy S9 series to hit shelves by the second week of March. Availability in India hasn't been confirmed although Flipkart seems to have listed a product page for the phones, ahead of launch.
