A Redditor who claims to be a veteran of 15 years at Microsoft, pointed to some of features that will supposedly arrive in the next version of Windows Phone OS, said to be called Windows Phone 8.2 or Windows Phone 9.

The Reddit user, who has now deleted the particular account, said that the next Windows Phone OS version might reach within next 8-10 months. Additionally, it has been mentioned that the software update cycle will be speeded up, delivering an update every 6-8 months, along with a major OS update every year or two.

The first of the described Windows Phone 8.2 features is a special password which users can pass it on to their close ones, giving them the authority to get through the user's Do Not Disturb mode via text messages. For instance, if someone who has the special password texts on the muted handset of the user, it would still give a ping alert. Similarly, these special users can disable the Do-Not-Disturb mode of the handset if they call on it three times in a row.

While with Windows Phone 8.1, Skype has been made the default video-calling option, the Reddit users says a number of such services will be supported by Windows Phone 8.2 or 9. The new music app is mentioned to read the downloaded music, create playlists and merge Xbox Music in the same playlist without any hassles.
