OPPO's ColorOS 13 Brings Improvements in Productivity and More Smart Features

OPPO has tailored ColorOS 13 with a range of new smart and innovative features to deliver a smooth Android experience, seamless interconnectivity between multiple devices, and enhanced productivity and efficiency.

OPPO's ColorOS 13 has been packed to the brim with performance-oriented and productivity-oriented features that will take the device's experience to a whole new level. Starting with the Multi-Screen Connect, which now includes tablets and PCs. You will seamlessly be able to transfer files of various sizes and formats without spending any data. This feature is a boon for those who love to use multiple devices and love being productive, as it cuts out the need to switch between devices for apps. You also get an App streaming feature which is a native stock Android T feature. This feature supports connection with ChromeOS which includes screen mirroring, reverse control with mouse & keyboard, and video calls across devices. To further supports seamless file transfer and clipboard sharing the ColorOS 13 supports Nearby Share.

The new version of the ColorOS also brings OPPO's self-developed Meeting Assistant that will give you a better meeting experience whenever you are on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom. So, if you are in a meeting, the Meeting Assistant will automatically come to know, and it will optimize the network for a smooth meeting environment. It will also control notifications from other apps to help the user focus. Further, while attending online meetings, you can take notes on your phone or tablet, as well as scribble and highlight, like with a physical notebook using built-in Doodle Notes.

To further enhance smart productivity the ColorOS 13 showcases Smart Always-On Display which is an Industry-first Android AOD. With Smart AOD there is no need to unlock the screen to access the app for music control and information about ordering a takeaway. You get easy access to Music Apps like Spotify and food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy. The AOD feature is a huge upgrade in ColorOS 13 allowing users to easily access the information they need. Leveraging the power of 3rd party collaborations OPPO has continued its partnership with Snapchat to bring Bitmoji to ColorOS 13's Always-On Display.  You also get insights into your everyday activity as you spend more time on your device. The ColorOS 13 houses a series of Always-On Display animations featuring animals and nature called “Homeland”. These animations change with changes in daily temperature making users more mindful of the impact of climate change on our environment. 

Elegant, Innovative, and User-Friendly design

ColorOS 13 promises users to provide them with a concise and comfortable design and also an intelligent, user-friendly experience. OPPO has designed the ColorOS 13 by featuring water-inspired elements in the new Aquamorphic Design that add more fluidity to the OS. OPPO integrated a blue colour theme for ColorOS 13, and users can easily experience the beautiful feature by switching their devices to the new global theme palette. 

OPPO has added new system fonts that are slightly wider, to improve the readability of text, and new widgets that can help users quickly grasp key information without needing to open the apps. The widgets have been designed to simplify operations and help users organize home screens. 

Not just the fonts, but even the app icons have been revamped, so they are more recognizable and easier to read. As you will swipe down to see the new Control Center, you will find convenient access to toggles and notifications and thus a more interactive experience than earlier. The control center also showcases large folders that allow users to quickly open apps. Users can also swipe to other pages to open apps on the home screen in a large folder, making accessing apps simple and efficient. You can also personalize the home screen using widgets that support a variety of apps like weather clock etc. 

ColorOS 13's next-generation Quantum Animation Engine makes devices' UI more interactive and realistic. It does that by simply mimicking the movement of objects in real life. It helps you in finding the world's physical feeling through your fingertips. Using the Quantum Animation Engine, the system self-adapts and adjusts the interface according to user interaction behaviour to optimize the touch experience and make the hand feel more realistic.

Innovative User Experience

Another important feature that makes the ColorOS 13 more attractive than its previous iterations is OPPO's in-house developed Dynamic Computing Engine. This is a system-level technical solution designed for a more smooth and stable system that delivers two big benefits, one is the increased battery life and the second is the ability to keep more apps open in the background. The computing model allows for accurate hardware scheduling to strike the right balance between high performance and low power consumption, keeps 18 apps alive in the background, and delivers long-lasting smoothness.

The ColorOS 13 also comes with advanced privacy capabilities of Android 13 and has also integrated a range of other features based on OPPO's self-developed technology, so you don't have to worry about anything related to privacy and security.

The Auto Pixelate feature blurs out the avatars and nicknames in chat screenshots with just one tap. This feature will help you in keeping things private, no matter with whom you share your screenshots. Also, after you pixelate the chat screenshot, you can undo or redo it at any time. 

Next comes the innovative feature called Private Safe which is encrypted with a widely-used AES algorithm and stores your encrypted files in a private directory, to make you feel more at ease and secure. This newly added feature ensures an extremely high level of security, no matter what. 

You also get Kids Space which focuses on guarding children's digital health. With ColorOS 13, the system fully leverages the hardware sensor to provide comprehensive protection for children. When a parent passes the mobile phone to their child, the Kid Space is enabled to secure healthy usage of the phone. From "Content Management" to "Health Care", Kid Space uses a scenario-based approach to tackle the real needs of users. 

One of the features that ColorOS 13 brings in also helps secure privacy. The Clipboard Eraser which automatically deletes your clipboard history after around 60 minutes secures sensitive information from malware.
