In an interesting tale that reaffirms the notion that even thieves have a heart, a group of burglars returned computers to a non-profit after getting to know the cause for which they were being used.

According to a report by NBC News, the burglars had broken into the San Bernardino County Sexual Assault Services office on July 31 at 10pm, stealing several computers and a laptop. The same was reported to the non-profit by the Police.

However, some suspicious activity was reported again, the next morning at around 4:30am, from the same office.

It appears the burglars had a change of heart after discovering that they had stolen computers from a non-profit that helped victims of sexual assault.

When Candy Stallings, the nonprofit's executive director, returned to the office, she found a shopping cart with all the stolen computers and laptops, and a note left by the burglars that said, "We had no idea what we were takeing(sic). Here your stuff back we hope that you guys can continue to make a differerence(sic) in peoples(sic) live. God bless."

As the news report notes, the office has no sign outside indicating its line of work, in order to offer safety to the people it intends to help.

Stallings was shocked and exclaimed, "We were all pretty shocked. You've got to be kidding me. I was in disbelief. I got chills. I got very emotional."

However, the firm will need to shell out around $1,000 in repairs due to damaged caused by the burglars.
