Lenovo launches A1000, A3000 and S6000 Android tablets in India

Lenovo has launched its new line of Android powered tablets that include the A1000, A3000 and S6000 devices.

The A1000 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek 8317 processor and has 1GB of RAM. It comes with SIM card support for voice calling. The tablet sports a 7.0-inch display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels and also includes a 3,500mAh battery that the company claims, delivers around 8 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi. The tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, out of the box. It also includes a front facing 0.3-megapixel camera to handle video chats. The tablet also features Dolby audio enhancements with dual stereo speakers. It also includes 4GB internal storage. The Lenovo A1000 is priced at Rs 8,999.

The Lenovo A3000 is again a 7-inch tablet with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and comes with 1GB RAM. It comes with an internal storage of 4GB that can be expanded up to 64GB through a microSD card. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device is backed by a 3500mAh battery that can deliver up to 7 hours of Web-browsing and 336 hours of standby time, according to the company. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera. The Lenovo A3000 also has a SIM card slot and comes enabled with voice-calling. It has been priced at Rs. 16,000.

The Lenovo S6000 features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The tablet sports 178-degree viewing angles, a micro HDMI port and a digital microphone. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The tablet sports a sleek design with 8.6mm thickness and weighs around 560 grams. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and includes 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. The Lenovo S6000 comes at a price of Rs. 27,000.

The A1000 is already available in the Indian market while the Lenovo A3000 will hit the shelves at the end of this month. But the Lenovo S6000 will only reach the Indian market in the first or second week of September, according to a company representative.
