Lenovo, earlier this month, expanded its Yoga range of devices with the launch of the 13.3-inch Yoga Tablet 2 Pro (Android), the 8-inch and 10-inch Yoga Tablet 2 (Android and Windows), and the 13.3-inch Yoga 3 Pro (Windows). Now, the company has added another tablet in the range, dubbed Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows.

The 13.3-inch Yoga Tablet 2 running Windows 8.1 has been priced at $699 (Rs. 43,000 approximately) and will be available in November. Name notwithstanding, the tablet appears to be the Windows counterpart of the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, but does not include the pico projector that can project an image of up to 50-inches in size. The tablet will come bundled with a keyboard cover, and a 1-month trial of Microsoft Office 365.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows comes with a kickstand that can rotate up to 180 degrees and offers four different modes namely, hold, stand, tilt, and hang.

Most specifications of the new Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows are identical to the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro such as a 13.3-inch QHD (2560x1440 pixels) display; Intel Atom Z3745 (1.86GHz, 2MB cache) processor, and up to 15 hours of battery life. The new Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows also features the same large-chamber JBL stereo speakers with subwoofer. It includes Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-HDMI, and Micro-USB connectivity options.

However, there are quite a few differences as well. The new Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows includes 4GB of RAM (twice the 2GB on the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro) and comes in 64GB inbuilt storage variant (twice the 32GB on the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro) with expandability via microSD card (up to 64GB).

It sports a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, however, there is no rear camera on the Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows, unlike the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro that features a 8-megapixel rear camera. Also unlike the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro that features 9600mAh battery, the Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows packs a significantly larger 12800mAh battery.
