LG has expanded its G Pad tablet series with the launch of G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 tablets. The South Korean giant has announced that the three new G Pad tablets will be showcased at the upcoming MedPI 2014 event (May 13 to May 16) in Europe.

Unfortunately, the company has not revealed any availability, price and specifications details of the three new G Pad tablets. However, LG has confirmed that the details will be announced in the weeks ahead.

The new LG G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 tablets will feature company's proprietary UX features such as QPair 2.0 and Knock Code. The company notes that the QPair app, which was first seen on the G Pad 8.3 tablet, has been updated and can connect to any Android-based smartphone via Bluetooth. With the latest QPair 2.0 update, users' can receive notifications of calls and messages, and will now be able to respond directly from the G Pad tablets.

LG has also included the new Knock Code feature on the G Pad tablets which the company claims is an evolution of the KnockON feature that was first introduced in the LG G2 last year.

The company is touting that the LG G Pad 7.0 tablet is "designed to be held in one hand", while the G Pad 8.0 is being touted as LG's new "mid-sized tablet." Lastly, the G Pad 10.1, which is biggest member of the G Pad tablet line-up is said to provide "endless hours of entertainment and fun," as per LG.

For those unaware, LG pulled the curtains off its first 8-inch tablet, the G Pad 8.3 at IFA last year.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said, "Customers tell us that they want a wider range of devices that offer sizable screens without compromising portability. Unlike smartphones, tablets are not one size fits all. So we designed the G Pad Series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritize portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible. G Pad delivers on all counts."
