Indian firm Notion Ink is set to launch a Windows 8.1 tablet dubbed Notion Ink Cain 8, and the tablet has been listed on Snapdeal. Notably, the e-commerce site was Notion Ink's exclusive retail partner for the 10.1-inch Notion Ink Cain tablet-cum-laptop hybrid (Review | Pictures) launched in September, and will be the exclusive partner for the 8-inch tablet as well.

The listing for the yet-to-be-launched Notion Ink Cain 8 doesn't reveal all the specifications of the device, except that it runs Windows 8.1 OS, features an 8-inch display and is powered by an Intel processor. Other specifications of the Notion Ink Cain 8 tablet visible on the listing include a SIM card slot (indicating 3G connectivity), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, a Mini-HDMI port and USB OTG connectivity.

Some freebies that the Notion Ink Cain 8 will come with are a 1TB cloud storage and a one-year subscription of the Microsoft Office 365. The Snapdeal listing of the Notion Ink Cain 8 tablet was spotted by Fonearena. Speaking with CEO Rohan Shravan, NDTV Gadgets has learnt the company plans to launch the tablet in a couple of days.

In September, the company launched the Notion Ink Cain tablet-cum-laptop hybrid at Rs. 19,990. The Notion Ink Cain runs Windows 8.1 and features a 10.1-inch WXVGA (1280x800 pixels) IPS LCD display with 10-point multi-touch.

Powered by the Intel Atom Z3735D (4 core, 4 threads, 1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.83GHz burst, 2MB cache) processor, the Cain features integrated Intel HD Graphics (up to 646MHz), and 2GB of DDR3L RAM. It also includes 32GB of inbuilt storage along with an external storage option. The 7900mAh battery on the device is said to deliver up to 7 hours of video playback and 10 hours of Internet surfing.
