A new report has claimed that Reliance Jio subscribers will be charged for calls after 1,000 minutes in a month. A Bloomberg Quint report citing CLSA claims that Reliance Jio will be charging its Jio subscribers for calls to other operators. It says that Reliance will be offering free calls to other Jio numbers post the 1,000 minutes.

A Reliance Jio spokesperson has clarified to Gadgets 360 that this isn't the case. The spokesperson said that the report is incorrect and added that the plans on its website mention "unlimited voice calls". The report has further claimed that Reliance Jio could cancel a customer's Jio Prime membership unless a minimum recharge of Rs. 149 is made every month.
