Horizon Calendar, Writebox, Epoch.2, and Other App Deals of the Week

Every week this column helps you save money while buying your favourite apps and games. This week we've found some great deals on iOS and Android apps such as Next Launcher 3D Shell, Horizon Calendar, Weightbot, and more. There are some good deals on games as well, so if you are into mobile gaming, you might want to grab a couple of premium games for free. Read on.

Horizon Calendar
Calendar apps are dime a dozen, but Horizon Calendar is interesting because it combines the functions of a weather app with its calendar features. If your calendar involves frequent trips out of town or even meetings across the city, you'll find this app useful.

If you add a calendar entry and a location with it, Horizon Calendar pulls weather data for the location to help you prepare for the trip. It shows weather forecast data for events up to two weeks from the current day, which is very useful for planning. Horizon is set to launch a revamped app, so the developers made the current version free. Now's a great time to try the app and decide if you want the new one.
