The original Temple Run game broke records and found a firm foothold as one of the most played games on iOS after the mega success of Angry Birds. Now Imangi, the makers of the original have teamed up with Disney for a special edition of the game, called Temple Run: Brave.

The game has been launched for both Android and iOS platforms and is now available for download in respectively application stores. It has been priced at $0.99 (Rs. 55) and is around 32MB in size.

The locale and character is based on the Disney - Pixar movie, Brave. You are in control of Merida, the main protagonist - helping her run, slide, jump and turn and shoot your way across the wilds of Scotland.

Temple Run: Brave sports a few new features. The most notable is the inclusion of the bow and arrow which was absent in the original version of the game. You can now tap and shoot targets to gain more points. The swamp like environment has been redone in a vibrant and colourful way, inspired from scenes of the movie.

Coins can be spent on power-ups as you play Temple Run: Brave, helping you to snag better scores and climb the Game Center-supported leader boards.

Users have already started reported certain issues with the new game. According to comments on Google Play Store, users have found the game to be have a bit of lag. Other comments complain about it being unresponsive at times and not saving power ups. One user stated that he can't even open the game and that it's force closing.
