Nothing Ear 3, the company's upcoming truly wireless stereo (TWS) headset, was teased on Friday. The UK-based tech firm led by Carl Pei showcased a portion of the upcoming Nothing Ear 3 via X (formerly Twitter). While the company has yet to announce a launch date for the wireless headset, we can expect to learn more details in the coming days or weeks. It is expected to arrive as the successor to the Nothing Ear 2, which were unveiled in March 2023.

Nothing Ear 3 Design Partially Teased

The company typically begins teasing the arrival of new products days (or even weeks) ahead of their debut, and the upcoming Nothing Ear 3 appears to be no exception. On Friday, Nothing shared an image of the upcoming TWS headset via X, showing what appears to be the stem, or part of the case of the TWS headset.

In a community post, the company explained that user feedback highlighted the importance of returning to the simple numerical naming convention established with Ear 1 and Ear 2, which were launched in July 2021 and March 2023, respectively. Notably, the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A were introduced in India in April 2024.

A previous X post from the company teased a portion of an upcoming product with the caption, "Materially different." We don't know for certain what it means, but it could suggest a new material for the upcoming earphones. Notably, both the charging case and earbuds of the Ear 2 are made of polycarbonate (PC) material.

Meanwhile, an older report indicates that the Nothing Ear 3 is likely to launch with significant improvements over the Ear 2 earbuds. The Nothing Ear 2 features 11.6mm custom drivers, AI-powered microphones, and active noise cancellation of up to 40dB. With the charging case, they offer a claimed battery life of up to 36 hours. Priced at Rs. 9,999 in India, the earbuds are available in black and white colour options.
