Amazon India has announced the dates of its Great Indian Sale, the first big online sale of the year even as flat discounts at retail outlets continue. The Amazon Great Indian Sale will be held between January 20 and January 22, where the e-commerce company will provide discounts on products in many categories.
Under the Great Indian Sale, Amazon is providing offers and price cuts on consumer electronics, home, kitchen, daily essentials, and fashion categories. Amazon India has paired up with State Bank of India to offer cashback to buyers for purchases beyond Rs. 4,999. The bank is offering 15 percent cashback (maximum Rs. 1,750) on app purchases and 10 percent cashback on website purchases with its debit and credit cards. The e-commerce company is even pushing its Amazon Pay service by offering cashback to use its wallet service. For orders between Rs. 250 and Rs. 4,999, users can avail 10 percent cashback when they shop on the PC and 15 percent cashback when they shop on the Amazon app (maximum Rs. 750).
Furthermore, there are some exclusive privileges reserved for Prime members as well. Apart from free one-day to two-day deliveries, Amazon will also introduce some Prime-only deals. Furthermore, Prime members to get access to top deals 30 minutes before non-Prime members as well. Amazon has also partnered with Musafir.com to send 10 lucky app-buying couples to an all-expense paid trip to Europe. 10 lucky customers also stand the chance to win one Renault Kwid car each during the sale.

Other electronics on sale ahead of the main sale include the AmazonBasics In-Ear Headphones with mic and the Amkette Rapid Car Charger 3.1A with Dual-USB Ports. Under the Great India Sale, Amazon is offering discounts of up to 45 percent on Lenovo tablets, up to 30 percent on Canon cameras, up to 35 percent on HP printers, and up to 50 percent on Logitech PC accessories. Apart from these, you can get a minimum 30 percent off on JBL speakers, up to 40 percent off on SanDisk flash cards and Seagate hard drives, up to 25 percent off on Samsung monitors, and up to 50 percent off on Sony headphones.
Amazon expects a huge turnout for its sale, and is looking to mass hire to smooth deliveries. The company said it will create well over 7,500 temporary jobs for its upcoming sale, and these positions will mostly be in logistics to ensure no-hassle in deliveries. These roles are seasonal and do not offer a permanent spot as an employee.
