Ahead of the release of Microsoft's latest preview build of Windows 10, a build has been leaked to the Web and revealed several upcoming features. Build 10036 of the Windows 10 Technical Preview reportedly sports new icons, functions and the use of peer-to-peer (P2P) protocol for updates.

The leaked 10036 build of Windows 10, first noticed by The Verge, comes with a transparent Start Menu button alongside a new user interface for Wi-Fi connectivity. A new task view virtual desktop, and the ability to drag and drop apps between desktops are also included in the leaked technical preview version. The build additionally includes some of the icons that Microsoft has been testing, like the new Recycle Bin icon.

Also spotted in the leaked Windows 10 build is the option to get Windows updates using the P2P protocol. The new option inside the leaked build allows the Windows 10 users to enable their systems to download apps and OS updates "from more than one place" or multiple sources to "get them more quickly". Users can either download the updates from Microsoft and PCs on local network, or Microsoft and "PCs on the Internet."

The Microsoft Windows 10 update via P2P protocol is said to powered by the company's acquisition of Pando Networks in 2013 that is a maker of P2P file sharing solution similar to BitTorrent. Microsoft has not yet confirmed any of the details leaked in the Windows 10 build.

Earlier this month Microsoft showcased some of the features coming in its Xbox Live for Windows 10, during GDC 2015. The firm confirmed that it won't be charging users on Windows 10 PCs or phones to play online. The Redmond-based tech firm also detailed its Windows 10 Universal app platform this month.
