Maxx was founded in 2004 under the leadership of its Chairman and Managing Director, Ajjay Agarwal. Its products range from feature rich dual-SIM budget feature phones, big battery feature phones, touch feature phones, and Android smartphones. The company has its own manufacturing set up for mobile accessories, in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Maxx Mobile's latest mobile launch is the Genx Droid 7. The mobile was launched in August 2013. The phone comes with a 3.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 pixels by 480 pixels.

The Maxx Mobile Genx Droid 7 is powered by 1GHz one-core Spreadtrum SC6820 processor and it comes with 256MB of RAM. The phone packs 512MB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Maxx Mobile Genx Droid 7 packs a 2-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
