Kobian Pte Ltd is the manufacturer of Mercury brand of computer components and peripherals, life style products and various consumer electronic products. Founded in 1978, Kobian Pte Ltd began as a distributor of computer peripherals and related hardware products. The company has factories in India and sub-contract facilities in China. Mercury's latest mobile launch is the Glitz. The mobile was launched in July 2014. The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 540 pixels by 1980 pixels.

The Mercury Glitz is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor and it comes with 1GB of RAM. The phone packs 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Mercury Glitz packs a 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Mercury Glitz runs Android 4.2 and is powered by a 2000mAh non removable battery. It measures 172.00 x 88.60 x 8.20 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 240.00 grams.

The Mercury Glitz is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Regular and Regular. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and 3G.
