Popular Indian e-commerce website, Flipkart, has according to users started shipping the Nexus 6 (Review | Pictures) in India. Multiple users who bought the new Nexus smartphone last month via Flipkart took to social media to confirm the news.

For the uninitiated, the Nexus 6 went up for pre-order in India via Flipkart in mid-November. The Google Nexus 6 32GB variant has been priced at Rs. 44,000 in India, while the 64GB variant has been priced at Rs. 49,000.

One of the users claimed that the shipping mail from Flipkart suggested a delivery time of December 12 for the Nexus 6.

Unfortunately, Google is yet to start taking pre-orders for the Nexus 6 in India and at the time of writing, the new Nexus smartphone is still listed in 'Devices' section of Google Play India as 'Coming soon'.

Notably, Flipkart while responding to a query of a user who bought the Nexus 6 and wanted to know about delivery of the handset, had confirmed that second week of December as estimated time.

Interestingly, Flipkart has been also giving refunds to some Nexus 6 users who claimed to receive Rs. 3,000 as refund from the e-commerce website due to delay in delivery of the handset.

One of the possibilities is that the Google might begin the Nexus 6 pre-order in India starting December 10 as part of the company's third edition of the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF). It will kick-off on December 10 and last till December 12, and will feature over 450 partners.

To refresh, the Google Nexus 6, manufactured by Motorola, comes with a 5.96-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display at a pixel density of 493ppi. It is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor alongside 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear and front cameras respectively. Other specifications include 3220mAh battery; 184 grams weight, and 159.26x82.9x10.06mm.

The Nexus 6 is also the platform lead device of the most recent version of Android i.e. Android 5.0 Lollipop, which comes with a fresh look thanks to Material Design and a host of new features.
