HTC launches One series smartphones in India

HTC Friday announced the launch of two of its One series Android smartphones in Indian market. These smartphones include company's first quad core phone 'One X' and mid-range device 'One V'. HTC has stated that both the models will go on sale starting April 2 in the country.

According to HTC, One X will be priced around Rs 35,000, while One V will sell for Rs 17,000. There is no word on the release of the third smartphone of the series 'One S'.

Originally showcased at Mobile World Congress last month, HTC One X features a 4.7-inch (1,280x720p) display, and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. It also comes with 8.0MP camera at the rear with support for 1080p video recording and a 1.3MP front facing shooter capable of for 720p HD videos.

On the other hand, HTC One V is a mid-range smartphone with features like 3.7-inch WVGA display, 1GHz single core processor, and 5.0 MP camera with 720p recording.

Both the smartphones will also come with a dedicated image processing chip that brings several great imaging capabilities like HDR, burst mode, better low light shooting and a lot more.
