Lava has launched a new budget Android smartphone in India, the Iris 360 Music, priced at Rs. 4,799.

The smartphone is now listed on the company's website with pricing; however, there is no official word yet on the availability details of the Lava Iris 360 Music. The smartphone is notably already available at a discounted price of Rs. 3,849 on an e-commerce website.

The biggest new feature on the Iris 360 Music touted by Lava are the dual front speakers. Notably, the dual front speakers have been seen in some flagship devices such as the HTC One (M8). Some recent budget offerings also had the feature, such the Xolo A500 Club.

The Iris 360 Music is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device and runs the dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Considering that Lava has now launched Android 4.4 KitKat-powered smartphones such as Lava Iris 460 and Lava Magnum X604, as well as rolled-out a KitKat update for the Iris 504Q+, it's quite disappointing that the Iris 360 Music still runs an older version.

The Lava Iris 360 Music features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixels) TFT display. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) alongside 512MB of RAM.

It sports a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while it also houses a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Iris 360 Music includes 4GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone is available in Black, Grey and White colours.

The smartphone comes with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB connectivity options. It packs a 1400mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time on 3G networks. The Lava Iris 360 Music measures 114.5x60.7x11.2mm and is now listed on Saholic.
