LG K3 Entry Level Android 6.0 Marshmallow-Powered Smartphone Launched

South Korean handset manufacturer LG has unveiled a new entry-level Android smartphone in the US. Priced at $80 (Rs. 5,500), LG K3 smartphone is now available via Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.

The LG K3 smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and is highlight of the handset at this price point. It features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded further via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The handset sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. There is a 0.3-megapixel front camera on board as well. The LG K3 packs a 1940mAh removable battery which is rated to deliver a talk time of up to 14 hours. Connectivity options on the handset include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, and Micro-USB.

LG had recently unveiled expanded its X-series of smartphones with the launch of the X Power, X Style, X Max, and X Mach smartphones. The company had not revealed any pricing or availability details. The company however confirmed that the smartphones would be rolled out in markets around the world from next month, with local pricing to be announced individually.

The highlight of the LG X Power was its large 4100mAh battery while the LG X Style boasted of a sleek design and form factor. The LG X Mach was said to sport a QHD IPS Quantum display, the highlight of the device. The LG X Max is expected to brag of a large form factor.
