Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Price Revealed

After being subjected to massive leaks, Samsung finally made the Galaxy Note 7 official on Tuesday. The phablet dons an upgraded S Pen, a dual-edge display, and the much talked about iris scanner. While the company did not divulge any price or availability details at the event, details of its pricing and availability in different regions are now pouring in.

In Europe for instance, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will go for up for pre-orders on August 16, and will be made available on September 2, reports Sammobile. For all the early bird registered users, Samsung is offering freebies alongside - the new Gear VR headset or a 256GB microSD card. According to an online retailer, the pricing in the European market will start at EUR 699 (roughly Rs. 52,300).

In the US, Samsung begins taking pre-orders on Wednesday, and the Galaxy Note 7 is scheduled to hit the market on August 19. Different telecom operators are offering different deals on the smartphone. AT&T is offering a 30-month contract for $29.34 (roughly Rs. 2,000) per month, and a 24-month contract for $36.67 (roughly Rs. 2,500). T-Mobile offers the Galaxy Note 7 SIM-free for $850 (roughly Rs. 56,800), and contractually you can get it for $32.50 (roughly Rs. 2,200) a month for 24 months. T-Mobile won't begin selling it till August 28, however for pre-orders it is offering freebies like a 256GB microSD card, a Gear Fit 2, and a one-year Netflix subscription. US Cellular offers a 30-month contract for $27.80 (roughly Rs. 1,900) a month. There are also options for 20 and 24 month contracts.

Samsung is also hosting an event on August 11 in India, where it is largely expected to launch the Galaxy Note 7 in India.

The biggest highlight of the Galaxy Note 7 is its iris scanner, and it is the first smartphone from Samsung with such a feature. It also sports a dual edge display, and an improved S Pen with waterproofing abilities. As for specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 offers a 5.7-inch QHD dual-edge Super Amoled display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC or Exynos 8890 SoC depending on the region, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB of inbuilt storage, 'Dual Pixel' 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 3500mAh battery, and NFC support.
