Sony has just pushed out the first firmware update (build number 14.1.G.1.531) for the newly launched Xperia Z1 in India, if a report is to be believed.

The new firmware upgrade, as Xperiablog notes, moves the device from current build number of 14.1.G.1.518 to build of 14.1.G.1.531. There are no big improvements or additions to the software, only regular bug or performance updates, notes the site. The 14.1.G.1.531 firmware update for the company's flagship smartphone, Sony Xperia Z1 is rolling out to HSPA+ devices with model number C6902. While there is no word on global rollout of the update, it is expected to reach other parts of the globe soon.

Meanwhile, Sony took the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z1 at IFA, Berlin earlier this month. Recently, the device was launched in India at Rs. 44,990.

The Sony Xperia Z1 comes with 5-inch full-HD TRILUMINOS display powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. The highlight of the Xperia Z1 is the 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS sensor alongside BIONZ image processor engine and pulsed LED flash. It also includes a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
