Vivo X3S, X Shot, Y22, and Y15 Android Smartphones Launched in India

Chinese smartphone brand, Vivo, has launched four Android smartphones in India. The company, apart from launching its 'slimmest smartphone' X5Max in India, also announced the Vivo X Shot, Vivo Y22, Vivo Y15, and Vivo X3S.

The Vivo Y15 has been launched at Rs. 8,000, while the Vivo Y22 comes at Rs. 10,000. Both the Vivo Y15 and Y22 will be available starting Monday. The Vivo X3S and Vivo X Shot will be available next week and the company revealed that the prices for the two handsets will be announced then. The company also confirmed that its new Android smartphones will be available to buy via physical retail stores while confirmed that the handsets as of now will not be available through online retailers.

The Vivo X3S, Y15, and Y22 run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, while the X Shot smartphone runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The Vivo Y15 and Y22 smartphones are powered by a quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The Vivo X3S, on the other hand, packs an octa-core MediaTek (MT6592) processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Lastly, the Vivo X Shot is backed by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AA) processor clocked at 2.26GHz.

Other specifications of the Vivo Y15 include 512MB of RAM; 4GB inbuilt storage; a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display; a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash; a 2-megapixel front camera; dual-SIM support, and a 1900mAh battery.

The Vivo Y22 features same specifications as the Y15 except that it includes 1GB of RAM; an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Vivo X3S features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display; 1GB of RAM; 16GB inbuilt storage; a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash; a 5-megapixel front camera; dual-SIM, and a 2000mAh battery. Vivo has provided a launch price range between Rs. 23,000 and Rs. 25,000.

Notably, there is no word on maximum expandable storage capacity of the Vivo Y15, Y22, and X3S smartphones.

Lastly, the Vivo X Shot smartphone features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; 2GB of RAM; 16GB inbuilt storage; a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash; an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 2600mAh battery. Notably, the X Shot supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB) and also supports LTE bands. Vivo has announced a launch price range between Rs. 28,000 and Rs. 30,000.
