Rio Mobile designs and manufactures mobile phones. Rio Mobile had tied up with Snapdeal to make its smartphones available exclusively via the Indian e-commerce giant. It claims that it supported on ground by over 250 associates along with over 400 service centers across India. Rio Mobile is a privately held company with its corporate office Noida. The company is promoted by VEGA, an Indian beauty accessory company which operates across India, and also has a presence in Middle East and Europe. Rio's latest mobile launch is the New York. The mobile was launched in March 2015. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels.

The Rio New York is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM. The phone packs 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Rio New York packs a 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Rio New York runs Android 4.4.2 and is powered by a 2000mAh removable battery. It measures 144.00 x 73.90 x 8.40 (height x width x thickness) .

The Rio New York is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Regular and Regular. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and 3G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
