January 2024 has been Jan-packed with new smartphone launches and one of them was the new Realme 12 Pro 5G series. The latest number series from Realme includes the Realme 12 Pro 5G and the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. While both phones look similar to the Realme 11 Pro lineup from the front, there are some changes internally, and on the rear panel. I've been using the Realme 12 Pro 5G for more than a week testing out various aspects of the Realme 12 Pro. Here's what I think of the phone.

Realme 12 Pro 5G Summary

Realme 12 Pro 5G mobile was launched on 29th January 2024. The phone comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels (FHD+). Realme 12 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. It comes with 8GB, 12GB of RAM. The Realme 12 Pro 5G runs Android 14 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The Realme 12 Pro 5G supports Super VOOC fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 12 Pro 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera; a 32-megapixel camera, and an 8-megapixel camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G runs Realme UI 5.0 is based on Android 14 and packs 128GB, 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Realme 12 Pro 5G is a dual-SIM mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. It was launched in Navigator Beige and Submarine Blue colours. It features an IP65 rating for dust and water protection.

Connectivity options on the Realme 12 Pro 5G include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor.
