Samsung's high-end smartphones have managed to impress us with their performance in recent times. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the mid-range handsets from the company, which have been unable match the competition in their respective price bands. One of the reasons has been the entry of new Chinese vendors who are offering better features at each price level.

The new Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has been launched at Rs. 18,790 and offers a lot of features. The 4G-enabled J7 Prime sports a metal body, full-HD display, massive battery, and some great software enhancements which make it one of the more interesting choices in the sub-Rs. 20,000 price category. On the downside, we wish that the camera performed a bit better in low light and the fingerprint scanner wasn’t so iffy.

Great value compared to S8+Jim Marietta (Aug 3, 2017) on Gadgets 360 RecommendsS2, S4, S6, S7 and S8+ had all 5. Now from S8+ to J7 Prime late 2016 version. Specs. 13mp/8mp cameras, 3Gb Ram, 16gb with my 256 microSD card (272gb). Sprint was charging me 25.00 per month lease $600 over two years plus the get phone back. They'll turn around and sell it refurbished for $400-500. Massive rip off. After hours of research I came across the Samsung J series, then The J7 series. This Galaxy J7 Prime 2016 version. It is highly comparable to the S series phones without the massive price tag. S8+ $800+, verse $179.00 w/free shipping via Ebay. Best of all I own the phone!! Bottom line, RECOMMEND this phone 100%!!!Is this review helpful?
