Airtel Giving 30GB Free Data to Users Upgrading to 4G Smartphones

Airtel, as part of its 'Mera Pehla Smartphone' initiative, on Friday announced the launch of an offer to help empower new online users in the country. According to the offer, Airtel customers using 2G/ 3G mobile handsets are entitled to 30GB free data when they switch to a 4G smartphone. The free data is applicable for both prepaid and postpaid users. For prepaid Airtel customers, 1GB free data will be provided every day for 30 days - over and above their current pack. For postpaid, 30GB data (with data rollover) will be added to the bill cycle.

To check eligibility, Airtel users can either call 51111 (toll-free) from their registered Airtel mobile number or check it through the My Airtel app. Alternatively, customers can check for free data eligibility by entering their mobile number here and clicking on Check Eligibility. Free data will expectedly be activated for eligible customers within 24 hours of activation. You can read all terms and conditions of the offer here.

Airtel has previously tied up with several major smartphone brands like Lenovo, Itel, Celkon, Nokia, Intex, and Samsung to offer cashback of up to Rs. 2,000 under its 'Mera Pehla Smartphone' initiative. The collaboration has helped bring down the effective prices of budget and mid-range smartphones from these OEMs.
