hitachi is the best in ac.i have samsung and lg but among them hitachi is very nice with all features and very less sound of indoor unit.

When you buy AC dont just look at ton capacity written on it but check the cooling capacity written in specs it is either in Watt or BTU. 1.5 ton ac is equals to 5275 watt of cooling capacity anything less is below 1.5 ton. This Hitachi AC has 5362 W cooling capacity which makes it tad higher than 1.5 ton which is good really good. I have check all non japanese brand of AC company have lower values gor e.g i have seen lg selling 4800w AC as 1.5 ton online all other brands voltage,videocon,bluestar,etc are using some kind of Chinese AC for e.g i was watching youtube videos about ac installation the video is probably of US origin and i found the AC unit the person installing in the video is same unit as my Bluestar AC but having some other brand name so, i check even further and found my Bluestar AC remote is working with my cousins Videocon AC and my other Videocon AC remote is working with Voltas that means even Voltas is not India Ka AC as claimed(may be manufactured in India but not technology) these all Indian brand AC are all generic Chinese design( i know some Videocon uses galanz ac and pcb a Chinese company) which these all companies are using. LG, samsung and Japanese companies like hitachi,Dakin,Ogeneral,etc makes their own R&D but only Japanese companies are selling the correct capacity. BTW I bought my Bluestar AC which I was talking about above thinking as 2 ton but later found it has only 6200w cooling capacity written on it which makes it 1.8 ton but i must say Bluestars outdoor unit does not make any noise its super silent even when stand next to it you cant say its running or not.Look for all copper and check for the cooling capacity not ton. This hitachi ac cools my room more than my previous 1.5 ton Videocon AC. Outdoor is sufficiently silent not loud. I give 4 star because supplied remote is faulty but hitachi replaced it in 4 days but the replaced remote is not original. Installation charges are 1550 without stand.I can also say go for R22 gas AC as study shows at high outside temperature R410a cooling capacity decrease by 9% than R22. At 35 degree celcius outdoor temperature both gas shows same cooling capacity but above that temperature R410a's cooling capacity decrease faster than R22 its not that big but still r22 is better. R22 will go out from Indian Markets after 2030 so its not a problem right now.

Good product...

Cools well and in a short time for a 150sq.ft room. Would have given 5 stars if the hitachi product brochure mentioned about R22 refrigerant instead of R410A. R22 is being phased out. Remote design could be better.

Past one year used this model , no sufficient cooling just like a air cooler

Got it installed 2 days back. Included in box 3.5m Copper pipe and electrical wire along with indoor and outdoor unit.Only good thing:1) Cooling capacity is excellent, esp for a room 14x15 sqft in sizeCons:1) Indoor unit is noisier(not unbearable though) compared to my Diakin of similar size2) Installation is a loot from Hitachi, everything is double the market price3) Minor - Its not a newly launched product as displayed on the image, at least from last year4) Minor - Looks absolutely different from the image displayed on Amazon, although still looks nice5) Minor - Remote design is pathetic, like from 1980's. Weird images on buttons that are absolutely not understandable.Most of all, the installation from Hitachi is a definitive loot. The charges for everything are more than double the market prices from stand(market price 400-500Rs Hitachi charges 900Rs) to additional copper pipe(market price 80-100Rs per foot, Hitachi charges 250Rs per foot) to electrical pipe(market price 25-30Rs per meter, Hitachi charges 90Rs per meter). And Hitachi will force you get it installed from Hitachi servicemen or you loose your product warranty as per their customer service agent.

i would advice not to buy these hitachi products. i got a 5* model from another site but very bad experience.1. this is told neo indicating something new, but has r22 gas. what use of buying a ac when gas will not be available after some time. i think the naming is done with not very good intention just to make buyers think it is new r410 or newer gas .2. there is extreme cost cutting, basic features like temperature display on the IDU is absent. everything that you could see is extreme cost cut. so it is up to you to believe if what you cannot see is good enough for the brand.3.overpriced

I purchased a Hitachi AC. Exactly after 1 year of purchase, it stopped working.The service centre phone is busy almost always. (Probably because of large number of complaints).After 11 attempts I could get through with the service centre numbers.The company refuses to accept that on the day AC conged off (Yesterday), it was within warranty.Now they will send a technician for a fee of Rs. 500/- for just visiting.They will send this technician within 48 hours. So I am blessed with two sweating sleepless nights because I made a great choice of buying a Hitachi product.Kudos to Hitachi engineers - their product works for exactly 365 days.

Any plz suggest me whether I should buy this product or not

The product is wonderful, has an excellent cooling and good features..the 3 star that I am giving is due to the fact that the seller shipped 9 months old stock, don't know if that impacts the product quality.Update: After using this AC for merely 2 months, its Not cooling anymore. A local texh observed the way ac is behaving and told us that the capacitor has gone faulty. Cant believe!

I am following from last four days for installing new product at Belapur, Navi Mumbai. Very worst after sale service from Hitachi.Not recommended. Better go for Voltas etc.
