No one has the time to join a course and learn some real life crafting. The good news is that all the important skills you want to learn in life can now be found on YouTube. The Do-It-Yourself (DIY) community is growing rapidly, and you'll find a fair number of people who can teach you how to build anything on YouTube.

We love the DIY spirit and we put together a list of some of the best and craziest channels on YouTube where you can learn to make stuff. It's not an exhaustive list, and it's not just a collection of the most popular channels, but we've found ones that we think are the most interesting and helpful. These channels try to make technology simple one video at a time, and help you learn how to build things, lessons on woodworking, and simple household hacks. Time to learn to build something.

1) I Like to Make Stuff
A dad to four kids, Bob Claget left his full-time job to pursue the art of 'making'. The I Like To Make Stuff channel is an extension to his blog, and houses a collection of videos that teach you how to make funky signs, an outdoor kitchen sink, and even a pudding gun.

He hosts a show called maker 101 that teaches the basics of different tools from saws to even Arduino micro controllers. His videos will seriously give you some engineering 101 lessons, and inspire you to make your own stuff.

2) Make
The Make YouTube channel is hardcore. It consists of a team of people focused on DIY projects of different kinds. Their aim is to bring a DIY mindset to technology, and the channel has some good quality videos on how to make a water bike, twisted sharpies, and even wireless inductive chargers for smartphones and tablets.

A word of caution though, this channel is for pro-builders, and us home bodies might want to just sit back and watch in awe as they create stuff with ease.

3) Kipkay
This guy enjoys more than 2 million subscribers, and his channel is the ultimate guide for DIY projects, pranks, hacks and how-tos. He picks up all the unused scrap items from his house, and turns them into something meaningful.

See how he manages to make a torch out of an empty Tic-Tac can, or this video that teaches you how to charge your smartphone with a fan. The channel is full of innovative tricks that are worth learning.

4) Mad Stuff With Rob

This channel is run by a Mumbaikar, and is dedicated to his love for DIY. His channel contains videos aboutroom decor ideas inspired by nature and Pokemon to gift ideas and even DIY plant holders.

He makes everything from scratch, and is worth a follow. He has more than 100 videos, and has recently started producing his videos in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

5) Tech Builder
As the name suggests, this channel teaches you to build tech-related things. However, the most interesting bit is that it is run by a 17-year-old Filipino boy who loves to tinker with electronics.

Some of his accomplishments include building a mini-robot, a fitness band, and a Bluetooth speaker.

6) DIY Tech
This channel will prove to be a boon for a tech novice. From teaching users how to clear browser history, to more complicated how-tos like fixing overheating issues in laptop, the channel teaches everything.

It's basically a survival guide to avoid a trip to the repair shop and save some precious money.

7) Rulof Maker
Rulof Maker
celebrates his love for DIY through a YouTube channel that is worth subscribing to. Although he uploads only once a month, his videos are a must watch as they teach you how to make a underwater breathing device and even make a coffee machine out of light bulbs.


8) Household Hacker
This is a personal favourite, because this DIY channel has something for everyone. It is filled with home hacks, life hacks, and other innovative food DIYs that you would love to try at home.
There are videos that show you how to make summer coolers, and others that'll teach you to make innovative cleaning tools.

9) Steve Ramsay

This YouTube channel is aimed for users who want to learn some serious building techniques. Ramsay's aim is to make woodworking, carpentry and steel-bending a household hobby.

He has lessons to build different kinds of furniture and upload projects every Friday to fill your weekends with constructive time.

10) Scotty Kilmer
The Scotty Kilmer YouTube channel is dedicated to automobile DIY. He aims to simplify all those complicated innards of a car, so that you slowly master the art of fixing it yourself.

Kilmer has uploaded videos on how to fix a car bumper, fix paint chips, and even the stubborn trunk that keeps falling down.

These are our favourite YouTube DIY channels. You can learn some useful new skills by watching these channels, but even if you don't actually follow through on any of these projects, they can be a lot of fun to watch, and that's a good thing too.
