If 720p display in One X wasn't enough for you, HTC is coming with a full-HD smartphone that will probably run on Jelly Bean. Featuring slightly odd 1794x1080p resolution, the smartphone will have 5-inch display.

It seems the success of Samsung Galaxy Note has led HTC to jump in the 'phablet' arena. We have already seen companies like LG launch devices like Optimus vu, which also sports an over 5-inch display.

According to a report in Digitimes, the smartphone is expected to be launched in September-October. The report is short on details, but a similar leak from a benchmarking website suggests that this HTC smartphone might have Qualcomm S4 processor with Adreno320 graphics.

Other specs are still unknown and we are yet to see a mock-up or leaked image of the smartphone.

With the last few quarters not being great for the company, HTC really needs a few rockstar devices and while One X is a good smartphone, it is time to look for its follow-up.
