Lenovo has started sending invites for the launch of a new Zuk-branded smartphone, with May 31 the chosen date. Not details about global availability have been announced.

Not much is known about the smartphone till now, apart from it being a smaller variant of the Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro that was launched last month. Zuk CEO Chang Cheng recently (via GizChina) shared render images of the smartphone, while also confirming it will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 8890 SoC that powers the Galaxy S7.

The invite however points to the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC on the Lenovo Zuk Z2, just like the Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro, indicating there will be two processor variants at launch.
