Moto G (Gen 2) Launch Day Offers Now Live on Flipkart

Motorola announced tha all new Moto G (Gen 2) in New Delhi, India on Friday and, as expected, the smartphone is now available from Flipkart.

The exclusive retail partner of Motorola in the country is offering launch day offers on the Moto G (Gen 2). Customers placing orders for the smartphone on Saturday will receive flat 50 percent off on cases and covers for the Moto G (Gen 2). The retailer is also giving away discounts worth Rs. 6,000 for shopping on Flipkart.com to anyone purchasing the smartphone as well as ebooks worth Rs. 1,000 from Flipkart's collection.

Other offers include "extra 35 percent on shopping on the Myntra app" and a chance to receive a full refund of their Moto G purchase to 100 lucky customers. Readers are advised to check the Flipkart site for full terms and conditions of the offer.

While Motorola had said the Moto G will be available in 8GB and 16GB variants, only the latter has gone on sale right now at Rs. 12,999. The Moto G (Gen 2) features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 305 GPU.

The Moto G (Gen 2) comes with microSD support, addressing what many believed was its predecessor's biggest shortcoming.

The second-generation Moto G features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Notably, the smartphone - like the Moto E - features dual front speakers, above and below the display, apart from 2 mics.

Connectivity options on the Moto G (Gen 2) include 3G, Wi-Fi 80211.ac, Bluetooth 4.0LE, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 141.5x70.7x10.99mm, and weighs 149 grams. It is powered by a 2070mAh battery.
