Motorola Moto G (Gen 2), Moto X (Gen 2) Available With New Exchange Offers

Flipkart, the exclusive online retail partner of Motorola, has introduced a new 'exchange your old phone' offer under which customers can get up to Rs. 4,000 and up to Rs. 6,000 discounts on the purchase of the Moto G (Gen 2) and Moto X (Gen 2) smartphones respectively, in exchange for select phones. The exchange offer will be available for consumers in the period between January 19 to January 23, 2015.

With the exchange offer, the Rs. 12,999 (16GB) price tag on the Moto G (Gen 2) gets reduced to Rs. 8,999. The Moto X (Gen 2), on the other hand, will be available at Rs. 23,999 (16GB) and Rs. 26,999 (32GB) down from Rs. 29,999 (16GB) and Rs. 32,999 (32GB) respectively.

Consumers can check their old phone's eligibility on the listing page on Flipkart. The online retailer also notes that consumers will be charged Rs. 50 for picking up the old phone, which would differ according to the location. Flipkart has laid a few conditions for the 'exchange your old phone' offer for the second-generation Moto G and Moto X - most importantly, the old phone that you wish to exchange should be in a working condition.

Additionally, the company is offering a bundled Motorola Bluetooth Headset with purchase of the Moto 360. The company notes that the Bluetooth Headset offer on purchase of Moto 360 is valid till the stock lasts.

Last month, Motorola launched the Moto X (Gen 2) 32GB variant in India at Rs. 32,999, while the price of the previously available 16GB variant of the Moto X (Gen 2) was slashed to Rs. 29,999 from the earlier Rs. 31,999 when it was launched in September.

Motorola announced last year that it sold 2.5 million smartphones in India.
